Chamber Business Profile--supporting local business!

Hello, My name is Loretta Andrews.  I am proud to say that I have recently joined the Wells Fargo
Home Mortgage team in the Green River branch office! I've completed my initial training and am
ready to go to work for you. I am a native of Sweetwater County and I have been in the banking
industry for over 26 years in various positions including Mortgage Lending. In fact I’ve come full
circle as my office is in the same building where I started my banking career way back in 1982!
After 2 years with the School District I have decided to get back into the banking business. Working
with children was very rewarding but I really missed my customers and I know that my place is
serving Green River banking needs. As always, customer service is my number one priority and I am
glad to be able to put it to good use with one of the largest, and most successful companies in the
area and the Western U.S. Wells Fargo is growing every day and is truly a great company to trust in
handling your financial needs.  The market is changing and so are we. We offer a wide variety of products
to suit the needs of almost any borrower. Everything from purchasing a new or existing home to refinancing
to a lower a rate or borrowing on your home equity for things like college, remodeling or that special
trip you’ve always wanted to take. I can even get you started on the right track if you’re leaving town
and plan to buy in another city.  Please keep me in mind if you or anyone you know is in need of a
mortgage now or in the future.  Or just stop in at The Wells Fargo Green River Office and say Hi!

Stress

A lecturer when explaining stress management to an audience, Raised a glass of water and asked
'How heavy is this glass of water?'

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, 'The absolute weight doesn't matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.'

He continued,
'And that's the way it is with stress management.

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,
As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,
We won't be able to carry on. '

'As with the glass of water,
You have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.
When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.'

'So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down.
Don't carry it home.
You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you're carrying now,
Let them down for a moment if you can.'

So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now.
Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon,
And some days you're the statue.

* Always keep your words soft and sweet, Just in case you have to eat them.

* Always   wear stuff that will make you look good
If you die in the middle of it.

* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be
"Recalled" by their maker.

* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,
It was probably worth it.

* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,
Because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

* Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

* The second mouse gets the cheese.

* When everything's coming your way,
You're in the wrong lane.

* Birthdays are good for you.
The more you have, the longer you live.

* You may be only one person in the world,
But you may also be the world to one person.

* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today. I did
.

Safety on Ice!

“Thick and Blue, Tried and True
Thin and Crispy, way too Risky”

Look for bluish ice that is at least 4 to 6 inches thick. Even if the weather has been below freezing
for several days, don’t guess about ice thickness. Check the ice in several places. Use an auger, spud
or ace to make a test holw, beginning at shore and continuing as you go out.
If ice at the shoreline is cracked or squishy, stay off. Don’t’ go on the ice during thaws. Watch out
for thin, clear, or honeycomb shaped ice. Dark snow and Dark ice are other signs of week spots.
Choose small bodies of water. Rivers and lakes are prone to wind and wave action, which can break
ice up quickly. Avoid areas with current, and around bridges and pressure ridges.

Twelve Quick Tips

• Test the Ice. • Beware! Wind and current break ice. • Dress in Layers.

• Bring food and hot drinks. • Fish with a partner. • Don’t’ gather in large groups.

• No fires on the ice. • Bring Blankets and a first-aid kit.

• If you fall in, reach for solid ice, kick and roll to safety.

• Follow fishing regulations. Don’t drive cars or trucks onto ice. • Clean up

Odiferous Award Winner, Floyd Ortega, won for most votes as the fishing partner that always get "Skunked".

2nd Annual Burbot Bash – Promoting the Area…Bring Tourism Dollars The event was an effort to increase public
awareness about Burbot, a.k.a. Ling Cod, in the Flaming Gorge Reservoir.  Burbot, although a game fish, is not
native to the Green River water system and was illegally introduced.  The fish also know as Ling Cod is a predatory
fish and is proving to be very detrimental to Flaming Gorge Fishery.  Gearing up for the presentations Chris Collett,
Flaming Gorge Resort, cooking up tasty versions of the Burbots.  Odiferous Award Winner, Floyd Ortega, won for
most votes as the fishing partner that always gets “Skunked”!  The Burbot Bash, Fish Expo had over 500 participants
coming from Utah, Colorado and the local area. Game & Fish representative Craig Amadio and Chris Reynolds were on
hand to explain about catching the fi sh, where they have found large numbers of them and the effect of them in the Gorge.
They also updated participants on fi shing regulations and the fact that there is no limit on the number of Ling you can
catch. David Freeman, an avid ice fi sherman, was also on hand and gave several tips to the crowd about how to catch
them, what the best lures are, and where he has been catching them. Game and Fish representative Rob Keith and DWF
representative Ryan Mosely showed how to fi llet and skin them. Chris Collett and his crew from Flaming Gorge Resort
deep fried and boiled the Burbots, which were actually pretty tasty. The event was a partnership with the Rock Springs
Chamber, Buckboard Marina, Big Fish Tackle.com, Flaming Gorge Resort, Wyoming Game and Fish and the Utah
Department of Wildlife and Fish and the Sweetwater County Travel & Tourism. The event was permitted in cooperation
with Ashley National Forest. The partners are planning on turning this event into a derby in 2011.  Thanks to the Sponsors:
